MCSA 的主要目的是讓從事 I.T. 的人士或初入行者都能對最新的操作系統 Windows XP 和 Windows Server 2003 R2 有較深入的認識,包括系統的安裝方法、功能設定、網絡管理、擬難排解、以及技術支援等 。此證書的要求比 MCSE 較低,只需通過以下四個考試便可。
