前兩期為大家介紹過有關 Sniffer Certified Professional (SCP) 的認證後，便收到彼多讀者的電郵詢問有關SCP 的更多資料，尤其問哪裡有相關 SCP 課程的課程進修為最多，還有問我可否介紹更多 SCP 的考試內容和有關資料。相信大家對SCP證書有如此興趣，莫過於是因為 Sniffer Pro 是一個擁有強大的探測功能的網絡探索軟件，它亦能夠令網絡管理員及工程師更加了解網絡的運作惰況有關。但如果我在這裡再介紹SCP 課程上的內容，恐怕用十期八期的篇幅都講不完，既然如此，倒不如講講 SCP 的考試方法和箇中技考給大家分享，希望有助各位在考試中更能夠獲得更好成績。 | |
大家在參加 SCP 考試前，有些事項是必須留意的，首先您要向 Prometric 的認可考試中心登記，因為現在只有 Prometric 才可以提供 SCP 的考試給大家應考，如果你還未有 Prometric 的考生編號，你可以到 www.2test.com 的網站內建立一個屬於自己的考生帳戶，完成所需手續後，以後無論您報考任何的專業考試，例如 Microsoft，Cisco 或是 Sun Microssystems 等都可以用它作為登記，當然包括 Sniffer SCP 的考試在內。另外，要成為 SCP，你必須通過一科SCP 的專業考試，其編號為1T4-101：Troubleshooting with the Sniffer Pro Network Analyzer，這科的考試費為港幣 $780，報名完成後只要在考試當日到你所指定的考試中心應考便可。
講完考試前要留意的事項後，現在講講有關SCP的考試技考，其實 1T4-101 這科考試不太困難，只屬於入門級，考試內容非常易掌握及易記憶，這可能是由於所考的知識比較集中，尤其是偏向 Ethernet 的技術和 Sniffer Pro 軟件的運用居多，有了這些固定範圍便毋須兼顧太多方面的東西。整個考試長一小時，總共有 50 條題目需要作答，你要在指定時間內完成，並且獲得75% 或以上的成績才可通過考試，計算一下，差不多要答對 38 條題目或以上才算合格，不過對於讀過書的朋友來說，這個分數絕對不成問題。
SCP 的考試中有一系列令我印象很深刻的試題，就是那些問及有關 Sniffer Pro 軟件介面中的Icon，特別的不是因為它考一兩個就罷了，而是差不多考成十幾條。基本上 Sniffer Pro 軟件中的 Icon 不算太多，數落都只得二十個左右，但在考試中，這方面的試題居焦有十多條，所佔的比例算很大，所以亦成為考試合格與否的其中一項關鍵，所以如果你事前能夠記得每個 Icon 的相關作用，對你通過 SCP 的考試有相當大的幫助，既然如此重要，我專程剪輯了這些 Icon 的面貌出來，再配合收集回來的模擬試題讓大家看看，如果覺得容易的話，就快快報考 SCP 的考試，獲取屬於您的 ”SCP網絡探索專家” 證書。
